Topic 2. Equal Pay for Equal Labor (Here, let's call it "EPEL".)

EPEL has been enforced as one of 8 relating laws for Work Style Reform. Its enforcement on Large companies has been made since April this year, and will be on Middle and Small companies from April next year.
This law was intended to prevent discriminatory management on non-permanent workers, part-timers and freelancers, compared to permanent workers, but it leaves the regulation on allowance like retirement payment as a gray zone.
Are we going to feel financially reasonable on our job no matter what form of our employment is?
How about Japanese economy's competitiveness under EPEL? Let's talk about it.

1. What is Equal Pay for Equal Labor? Advantage and disadvantage from worker point of view?

2. Will freelancers, part-timers, non-permanent workers be as happy (or feel reasonable) with their job as permanent workers? Why? Why not?

3. Will this law contribute to the competitiveness of Japanese Economy?
