いつもの大阪駅前第ニビルの会議室で、恒例の18時開始の通常例会。
今回の参加者は初参加の方1名＋リピーター11名でした。

さて、今回のトピックはこちら。

Topic1 Your tips for a tough situation.

Q1) I am not good at concentrating on one thing when I am in my home,compared to in office. You may have some ways,such as going to cafe to read the book. Please share with us.

Q2) You may have experiences of getting sleepy during an important meeting or other similar situation. Do you have any good ideas to keep you awake at such situations?

Q3) Do you have any good methods to sleep when you don't feel sleepy,but you need to sleep for tomorrow?

Q4) When you are tired, do you have any favorite drink, supplement or other ways to relax or refresh yourself?

Topic 2 : The scholarship triggers the bankruptcy.
Agenda : What kind of scholarships should the government give to financially underprivileged students?

Q1) Do you think the education of the university is worth paying such a large amount of money?

Q2) The school fee of the public university is more than twice, compared to 20 years ago.
Thus there is no significant difference of the school fee between the private and the public school.
Do you agree the current school fee policy of the public university?

Q3) University is not compulsory education. Do you think any scholarship without repayment for financially underprivileged students is necessary?

Q4) What kind of scholarships should be supported for them?

前半は4名ずつ3つのグループに分かれ、トピック１について軽くチャット。
人それぞれ自分のtipsを持っていますね。

休憩の後は、12人全員でトピック2についてディスカッション。

賃金が下がってきている中、奨学金の返済ができず自己破産する人が増加してきています。
（なお、申し込み時に親が保証人になっている場合、親も自己破産するとか…）
今回は主に大学を念頭に置いて、大学教育の価値、学費の金額の妥当性、そして奨学金はどのようにあるべきか、という点について話しました。

まずは奨学金貸与＆返済中の経験談から話は始まり…。
モノやサービスの値段は通常、「値段が上がれば需要が下がる」ものですが、大学の学費については昔に比べ大幅に上がっているのに、大学入学者は増加しているというある意味不思議なもの、という指摘のコメントがありましたが、確かに。

英国の奨学金は、社会人になってから年収が一定の金額に達しない限り返済が延期できる（というような）制度があるそうで。
少なくとも、若年労働者が奨学金を返済できず自己破産、というのは防げますよね。

日本の労働システムにおける「大卒」の利点や、大学がどういう存在であるべきか（昔のように、もっと特権的な、本当に優秀な人しか行けない存在になってもいい…？）など各参加者思うところがあるようでちょっと熱い発言が多い回だったような気がします。

フージャーズのディスカッションは、単に「英語で話す」だけでなく、テーブルを囲んだ参加者全員で、よりよい理解や結論にたどり着く為に議論を深めていきたいと考えています。
