The Single Mother by Choice (SMC) and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)

Topic 1

The first topic in 2021 is...weight maintenance.
During the pandemic, I have been gaining weight. So shocked!! Maybe this is because I have tried to enjoy myself at home, then the frequency I go outside has been decreasing.
How about you members?
I would like to talk with you about how to lose weight and maintain good health.

Q1. Have you gained weight during this pandemic period?

Q2. Do you have things to pay attention to in order not to get fat, please share your tips with me (us).

Q3. Are there any ways to lose weight effectively and quickly?? What activity, exercise or sports do you think is the best for losing weight?

Tioic 2: The single mother by choice (SMC) and assisted reproductive technology (ART)

It is not rare now to hear that married couples have babies born through assisted reproductive technology.
In Japan, it is said that one in 16 children were born thanks to this technique at the time of 2019.
In most countries, this technology is only for married couples, not for sexual minorities and single women and men. Japan is one of these countries.
What if the single people could use it and have babies by the way like buying the sperm from the sperm bank, and become a single mother.
Could our society accept this type of choice?

Q1. Whether using ART or not, do you support the way of being a family made by a single mother by choice?
Ayumi Hamasaki, Moga Mogami recently became SMC. Do you think this trend is going to bigger?

Q2. According to the article I posted, Denmark set the law which allowed single women to use ART. Thanks to this law, the Danish single people could use ART for free, covering the cost by national health insurance until at the age of 40.
If the Japanese government allows like Denmark, what are the concerns you think? and what benefits could we get from the legalization?

Q3. Using the sperm bought from the sperm bank to have a baby, the most sensitive issue is whether parents should let kids know the fact or not.
What if you are told by your parents that you were born from your mother and the sperm came from the anonymous man?
Should single mothers let kids know the fact at some point in the future?
